The Blue Ringer Story:

After years of playing shows in the Northwest and Canada, and receiving airplay on Seattle radio stations, Blue Ringer is back with a rich, powerful sound. Western landscapes with heavy overdrive…

With driving guitars and strong melodies, Blue Ringer's music is sincere and impressively honest. Fusing elements of Neil Young, Eagles and Steve Earle, the music is bold, energetic and filled with purpose. Sophisticated, but with gritty texture and emotional edge.

Formed in Port Townsend, Washington, Blue Ringer first produced the recording “So Many Roads”. Billed as alternative country, they played clubs and festival circuits of western Washington. Club venues included Parker’s, The Riverside, Rock City with Commander Cody, and the famous Evergreen Ballroom. Festival concerts included main stage at Seattle Folk Life, Bite of Seattle and many others.

The group toured western Canada, playing fourteen cities. Blue Ringer received radio play from Seattle to Alaska including a featured artist interview on KEZX, and played live as a guest on the Crow and West show on KXRX.

In 2005, Craig Brown reformed Blue Ringer with Deb Brown on bass and original member Mike Mallon on harmonica. After writing the material for “West Texas Sky” Blue Ringer teamed up with producer and drummer Stevie Adamek (The Allies, Big Horn, Believers) to create a sound that has roots in the band’s original brand of alternative country and incorporates the extra voltage of rock.

With the 2009 CD project completed - "West Texas Sky", Blue Ringer is back with a bold, energetic and honest brand of music. Described as altCountry rock or even Western rock, the music has roots in the band's original brand of alternative country. The band is recording now and planning for a 6-song project to be released early summer 2010.

Feb 2010 - Just finished 2 new songs: 'Outlaw Trail' and 'Decide.'
